Getting Ahead!

I am taking part in a
Christmas Altered Match box swap.
I've not been given my partner yet but decided to get myself organized and make them nice and early so i'm not rushing around last minute!
And here they are
I had real fun making these from scratch using the We R memory keepers envelope punch board.
I just hope whoever i'm partnered with loves them as much as I do.

My Latest Shabby Makes

It's been a while since I posted anything, mainly because I started a new job so time has sparse, so I though i'd do a little round up of the projects i've made over the past couple of months.

I created a little case from scratch to house my mini distress inks.

I took part in a fabric kilt pin swap and these are the 3 pins I made for my partner.

I also took part in an altered book cover swap, I totally forgot to take pics so had to borrow the one my partner took when she received it.

I made a couple of projects for a guest design team spot for Calico Crafts.
This is the first

And this is the second

Hopefully now i'm a little more settled in my job the blogging posts wont be so few and far between!! x Thanks for stopping by x

CC3 Challenge #3

Greetings Tim Holtz fans
Yep i'm back with my entry for this, the 3rd Compendium Challenge run by the lovely Linda
It's an odd number week which can mean only one thing..
You have the chance to win a whopping
WHOOP WHOOP
***
This time it's

And this is what I made
The base is a kit from Fernli Designs "Plaque with 5 hearts"
Covered with some of Tim's French Industrial papers and a little texture paste through a similar pattern stencil to Tims 'trellis' die that I used.
I used the 'eiffel tower' alteration die and matching embossing folder and some rusty wire to hang the hearts, which have lettering cut with the 'typeset' strip die.
The pièce de résistance is obviously the gorgeous tea roses. This has to be my favourite die of all time, I adore these roses and have used them on many projects.
I was going to add some greenery but my die isn't cutting {very frustrating}
Anywho.. That's my offering, Hope you like it x
Thanks for visiting xo

CC3 Challenge #2

Hay Timmy fans, Yep i'm back with my second make for Linda's Compendium Challenge

This week it's

and this is what I made
It started life as an old broken retro clock that I gutted out, covered with Tim's tissue paper and washed over with picket fence distress stain.
I then lined the inside with some faux foliage and brushed over it with picket fence distress paint, I also added a rim of pearl trim to the silver frame, they are actually white but seem to pick up the silver colour and blend in.

Then I set to work decorating the inside, using some resin pieces that I coloured with distress paint and stain, a Tim ticket and the distress glittered grungeboard shape pieces.

I also die-cut some mini tattered florals from fabric to decorate the inside and outside a little.

Don't forget to join in as there is a great Timmy prize up for grabs AND a $25 gift voucher from THE FUNKIE JUNKIE BOUTIQUE

So to my make..

Practically everything on the card is Tim's except a spellbinders diecut, some lace and a piece of fernli designs mdf that I did the marble effect on.

I even got out my sewing machine and tried out one of it's fancy stitches, and I love how it came out.
Note to self.. use sewing machine for cards more!

Shoe Swap

I recently took part in an altered shoe swap,
I was very lucky that my partner also loves all things shabby so I could create in my comfort zone.
This is the before shoe..
And I turned it into this:
I took a bit of time to get it just so, I had to work through the uglies a couple of times.
But it turned out alright in the end and myself and my swap partner were very happy :)
